The 2023 March Madness NCAA tournament will begin with the First Four games in Dayton, Ohio, and it will end with the Final Four in Houston, Texas.
It’s nearly the third month of the year, and that means it’s almost time for March Madness! This year, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament will kick off in Dayton, Ohio with the First Four games, and will wrap up at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas with the Final Four.
Selection Sunday
There will just be a few more weeks before we know which teams will make the cut. Selection Sunday for the competition will take place on March 12, 2023, after the Conference tournaments wrap up. On this day, the NCAA will announce which 68 teams made it, along with how they are seeded, and where they will compete.
The First Four
The competition will begin on March 14, 2023 with the First Four games, and will go on for a little less than three weeks until the championship game on April 3, 2023. Including the First Four, there will be a total of seven rounds in the NCAA tournament.
March Madness lives up to its name, as there have been some crazy results over the years that have shaken up the playing field. From the initial 68 teams, the list will be whittled down to 64, then 32, then the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, the Final Four, then two for the National Championship game.
