Where to watch Georgia Tech vs Vanderbilt on TV and stream online: Birmingham Bowl
The Yellow Jackets head to their 47th bowl game and as the favorites against a Commodores side who finished 6-6.
Protective stadium plays host to the 18th edition of the Birmingham Bowl in which 2014 winners, the Vanderbilt Commodores will scrap it out against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - one of their main college rivals.
For the Yellow Jackets, this will be their 47th appearance in a bowl game. Brent Key’s men head into this one with a 26-20-0 record and aiming for back-to-back bowl wins after clinching the Gasparilla Bowl last year.
Tech finished the regular season 7-5, sixth in the ACC. Key’s team were pretty consistent throughout but ended the campaign being edged 42-40 by the Georgia Bulldogs in a game that went to an eye-watering eight overtimes - a NCAA record.
As for the Commodores, they finished 6-6 in the the Southeastern Conference, way down the order in 12th. It was a disappointing finish for Clark Lea’s team, who lost their last three games to South Carolina, LSU and Tennessee.
