The ninth of the edition of the Arizona Bowl, sponsored for the first time this year by rapper Snoop Dogg, sees the Colorado State Rams host the Miami RedHawks at Arizona Stadium.

The Rams will be making their second appearance in the Arizona Bowl, although their debut came all the way back in the inaugural event in 2015, when they were defeated by the Nevada Wolf Park.

Colorado State head into the game with an overall 8-4 record (6-1 in the Mountain West Conference, where they are third) and having won six of their last seven games. They have, however, lost their two top receivers (Caleb Goodie and Jamari Person), along with linebacker Buom Jock during the transfer portal.
Miami, meanwhile, are 8-5 overall, but 7-1 in the Mid-American Conference, which has them in second spot. Chuck Martin’s team were the conference leaders but suffered a heavy defeat last time out to the Ohio Bobcats, who replaced them at the top.
The RedHawks, who are making their first ever appearance in the Arizona Bowl, have also lost key players during the portal, with wide receivers Javon Tracy and Reggie Virgil, and cornerback Raion Strader all having departed.
