The full schedule for the NFL 2022-23 season is out and football fans can expect plenty of interesting stories to unfold, with grudge matches to be played, especially after key players (and coaches!) changed teams in the offseason.

There’s a lot in store this year, but here are some matchups that you would not want to miss.

Week 1 Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Rams

Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET

Now this is the way to start a season. The NFL Kickoff Game promises to be an exciting matchup between two squads that are likely to have a shot at competing well into the playoffs. Their 2020 off-season game was a battle of the offense where they had a combined total of over 900 offensive yards.

Week 1 Cleveland Browns @ Carolina Panthers

Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET

The star of this show will surely be quarterback Deshaun Watson, who missed the whole 2021 season after the Browns came to a five-year, $230 million agreement with him. It will be his debut after being sidelined due to criminal sexual assault charges that he faced. He still faces civil complaints for sexual misconduct.

Week 1 Denver Broncos @ Seattle Seahawks

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET

It’s going to be a homecoming of sorts for quarterback Russel Wilson, who will be back at Seattle, this time as the Broncos’ signal-caller. It will also be the first time for Drew Lock to face his former team. Football fans will be waiting to see if the audience will boo or cheer Wilson, who delivered Seattle’s first Super Bowl title.

Week 3 Green Bay Packers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Packers-Buccaneers matchup could be one of the last chances to see Tom Brady competing against another elite veteran quarterback who has been as much a part of the NFL tapestry as he has. Brady is getting ready for his transition into a career in broadcasting, while Rodgers has repeatedly spoken of possible retirement.

Week 4 Kansas City Chiefs @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sunday, 8:20 p.m ET

This game will be a rematch of Super Bowl LV, under the leadership of Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. It’s going to be their sixth time to come up against other- where the old guard faces off with his possible successor.

Week 6 Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

Sunday, 4:25 pm ET

The last encounter between the Bills and the Chiefs was considered the game of the year, which has also been called “The Game of the Century”. It was so intense that it led to a change of the rules to lessen the importance and impact of the coin toss.

Week 7 Pittsburgh Steelers @ Miami Dolphins

Sunday, 8:20 p.m.

This game will see Steelers senior defensive assistant and linebacker coach Brian Flores face his former team for the first time after he was fired by the Dolphins following the 2021 season. Flores has since filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL which charges the league with racial discrimination.

Week 10 Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

Sunday, 4:25 pm ET

There is a lot of bad blood in this game, with head coach Mike McCarthy returning to Green Bay. It has been several years since the Packers fired him, but he is still likely to remember a lot of Aaron Rodgers’ weak points. The 2021 NFL MVP will probably be motivated to launch a high-scoring game against his former coach.

Week 12 Los Angeles Rams @ Kansas City Chiefs

It’s been four years since these two teams had their match-for-the ages. The rivalry on multiple fronts will make this game a must-watch: Sean McVay vs. Andy Reid, Matthew Stafford vs. Patrick Mahomes, and Cooper Kupp vs. Travis Kielce.

Week 17 Los Angeles Rams @ Los Angeles Chargers

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET

The battle of LA promises to be a show of electric offense between two teams who have not met on the field since 2018. Fans have something to look forward to late in the season, as it will be a battle of big-name quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Matthew Stafford, and standout coaches Sean McVay and Brandon Staley.
