With deadline day upon us for the official start of the NFL calendar, we look at just how much cap space each team currently has available to them.

This year’s incredible rise of $30.6 million in NFL salary cap space is not enough for some teams and with just over 24 hours left to go until the deadline, there are still five teams in negative equity.
The NFL salary cap this year has been set at $255.4 million, and for the majority of the league that number has come as a huge relief. For the top end of the list, it means a positively enormous amount of money is available for the start of unrestricted free agency.
The Washington Commanders have a staggering $86.7 million in cap space for free agents, plus the second overall pick in the NFL Draft. With new ownership, a new head coach and all of that dough, look for the Commanders to make a splash in the Draft and free agency.
After the Commanders, the teams with the most in cap space currently are the Patriots ($80,983,356), the Titans ($75,460,344), the Bears ($57,832,124), the Cardinals ($51,592,512), and the Texans ($51,264,312).
Who is struggling with the bills?
The team with the least amount of cap space currently is the Los Angeles Chargers. At the moment, they are actually over the cap by $20.6 million and will have to make some huge decisions in the next 24 hours. Other teams currently in the red are the Ravens ($180,381), the Chiefs ($5,650,139), the Saints ($10,912,634), and the Bills ($14,879,047), all of whom are over the cap.
Of teams who are currently within the rules, the Dallas Cowboys have a paltry $2.2 million in cap space left, which is the lowest of any other team.
