22 million at stake for Patriots: Stefon Diggs practices limited, physical status still up in the air
The New England Patriots have embarked on a new era in Foxborough and one of the key pieces of their new puzzle may not be 100% healthy just yet.

Teams around the NFL have already been in the full swing of OTA’s for the last week or two. It’s a chance for teams and coaches to reconnect to their players, meet new players and get a first glimpse of what the squad is going to look like.

Diggs showed up to Monday’s OTA session, which seemed to bring up more questions than answers. The questions, or perhaps doubts of those in New England center around Diggs fitness to start this new chapter. After leaving Houston in the offseason Diggs signed a three-year deal worth almost $70 million with $26 million guaranteed.
Digg’s new life on and off the field
Last year, Diggs was supposed to be the missing piece to a Houston side that had an explosive offense and a budding young quarterback. Diggs was in the midst of a solid season when he was struck down in Week 8 with a torn ACL. The Texans had to play the rest of the season without Diggs, and saw him leave town for a new deal with New England.

Diggs spent the rest of the season rehabbing after surgery and his offseason has been dedicated to getting ready for the upcoming season. Neither he, nor the Patriots have commented on whether or not he has passed the physical which is part of the requirement for Diggs to get his $12 million dollar signing bonus.
The star WR, who was at times at odds with Bills QB Josh Allen, has been spotted at Knicks games and on a yacht with rapper and entertainer Cardi B lately, but he was at OTAs running routes and catching passes on Monday. While we did get a glimpse of him, he didn’t not fully participate in the Pats practice.
