Aaron Rodgers claims “legitimate stalkers” amid frenzy to identify his wife
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback opened up about the “obsession” from fans and paparazzi to find out about his wife, and how it’s affected their lives.

Aaron Rodgers says the internet’s hunt to identify his wife has crossed the line, and the longtime NFL quarterback claims the situation has escalated into real stalking concerns.
“Enough is enough” - Rodgers blasts fans “obsessed” with tracking down mystery wife
Speaking this week on The Pat McAfee Show, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback vented about what he called a “bizarre obsession” among fans and paparazzi attempting to uncover the identity of his wife, whom he has intentionally kept out of the public spotlight.
“The obsession is f***ing bizarre,” Rodgers said. “That’s the only way to put it.”

Rodgers revealed last year that he had married a woman named Brittani, but he has declined to share further details about her identity or background, a decision that appears to have fueled online speculation and investigative attempts by fans.
According to Rodgers, the situation has escalated beyond curiosity. The four-time NFL MVP claimed he has dealt with people showing up near his home and frequenting places he visits, including a coffee shop and gym.
“Part of it is I have legitimate stalkers,” Rodgers said during the interview. “I don’t say that lightly or flippantly. I’ve been getting stalked at my house for a year and a half, stalked at the coffee shop, at the gym.”
Rodgers also alleged that paparazzi have gone as far as flying drones over his house in hopes of capturing a photo of his wife.
“The paparazzi was flying drones over my house,” he said, adding that he had heard there was even a “bounty” placed on obtaining a picture of her.
Despite the frustration, Rodgers said he understands the level of attention that comes with his career.
“I understand the attention that comes with somebody that’s accomplished what I’ve accomplished,” he said. “So in no way am I making this a ‘woe is me.’”
Still, Rodgers stressed that the issue is no longer just about him.
“When it comes to personal safety, it’s not just me. It’s me and her,” he said.
Why Rodgers has kept his wife out of public eye
Rodgers said his wife deliberately chose to stay out of the spotlight. According to the quarterback, she told him when they met that she didn’t want to be a “player’s wife” in the public eye.
“She’s not a public person,” Rodgers explained.
The veteran quarterback also suggested that some people close to him may have leaked details about where he was living, which only intensified the media attention.
Rodgers referenced past public disputes involving members of his family and said he has often chosen not to respond publicly, until now.
“It got to the point that I was like, ‘enough is enough,’” he said.
Rodgers nearing NFL crossroads
The comments come as Rodgers enters a pivotal stage of his career.
Now 42, the Super Bowl champion, who won Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers, is one of the most decorated quarterbacks of his generation. His career accomplishments include four NFL MVP awards, ten Pro Bowl selections and four First-Team All-Pro honors.
After completing his 21st NFL season, speculation has begun to grow about how much longer Rodgers plans to play. For now, however, the quarterback made it clear that protecting his private life and his wife’s safety is becoming a priority.
