Estados Unidos Update:

Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers has agreed to a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, marking a major move in the NFL offseason. The four-time MVP is expected to travel to Pittsburgh this Friday to officially sign the deal ahead of next week’s minicamp.

Rodgers had been linked to several teams in recent week, including the Steelers, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, and more recently, the New Orleans Saints, who entered the mix following the surprise retirement of Derek Carr.

Rodgers set for mouthwatering Steelers debut

The Steelers will kick off their 2025 NFL season on the road in Week 1 against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium - setting up a high-profile showdown between Rodgers and his former team, now led by ex-Steelers quarterback Justin Fields.

Rodgers joins a quarterback room that currently includes Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, and rookie Will Howard. Pittsburgh opted not to re-sign either of its starting QBs from last season: Fields departed for the Jets, while Russell Wilson inked a deal with the Giants.

Aaron Rodgers: has he still got it?

Last season, Rodgers started all 17 games for the Jets, finishing with 3,897 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The Jets ended the season with a 5–12 record.
