Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield is not happy with the Browns.

For the first time following the Deshaun Watson trade, Mayfield spoke about how he feels on the “Ya Never Know: You Know What I Mean?” podcast, saying the Browns continue to tell him one thing, and do another.

Cleveland traded for QB Deshaun Watson in March, and are expected to move forward from Mayfield this offseason, even though general manager Andrew Berry made it clear more than once that he “fully” expected” Mayfield to be the starting quarterback of the Browns.

Baker Mayfield feels “100% disrespected”

“I feel disrespected 100%. I was told one thing and they completely did another. That’s what I’m in the middle of right now. "

For the past four seasons, Mayfield started for the Browns, helping lead them to the playoffs in 2020 before suffering multiple injuries the year after.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft continued to play through his injuries in 2021, but had a disappointing season with Cleveland.

Baker Mayfield: “I have no regrets”

Mayfield also spoke about that season, and how tough it was on him. “This past year was rough. It was rough on me and my family. It sucked. I knew what I could be doing, but I wasn’t in a physical state to do it.”

“I really, truly honestly have no regrets of my time in Cleveland or what I tried to give that place,” said the 26-year-old. “True Clevelanders and true Browns fans know that, and that’s why I can walk away from the whole situation feeling like I did it.”
