Bengals @ Cowboys LIVE
Bengals victorious over Cowboys - Game summary
The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football to improve to 5-8 and keep their playoff hopes alive. It was a tight game throughout, but the Bengals pulled through for a 27-20 victory. The Bengals snapped a three-game losing streak and the Cowboys had their two-game winning streak ruined and fall to 5-8.
The game was ultimately decided after Dallas botched a blocked punt, allowing the Bengals to recover the ball with two minutes remaining in the game. The score was 20-20 and the Cowboys were about to get the ball back. Instead, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw a pass to wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who then ran it 40 yards for the game-winning touchdown.
Burrow finished the game 33-of-44 for 369 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, marking his fourth straight game of at least 300 passing yards and three TDs. Chase finished with 177 yards and two touchdowns and remains the NFL leader in receiving yards (1,319) and touchdowns (15).
Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush, filling in for injured Dak Prescott, finished the game just 16-of-31 for 183 yards and two touchdowns (to WRs CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks) and one interception. Running back Rico Dowdle had a great game, running for a career-high 131 yards.

Bengals' dangerous trio
As I mentioned earlier, Bengals QB JoeBurrow is playing an MVP-caliber season, despite Cincinnati's losing record. He combined with wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is lethal.
Chase and Higgins have combined for 122 catches, 1,700 yards, and 18 touchdowns this season.
The Cowboys defense will have to try to put pressure on Burrow and slow down the trio if they want a shot at winning. In the last two games, they have recorded 10 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, three interceptions, and a defensive touchdown.
Rematch with Rush and Burrow
In Cooper Rush's second career start, he faced Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 of the 2022 season. That game ended in a 20-17 upset by Dallas over the Bengals with Rush throwing for 235 yards and a touchdown. Rush was 2-0 as a starter after that game and he's now 7-3.
When he took over for Prescott this season, Rush struggled through his first two games, throwing just one touchdown and committing three turnovers and getting sacked six times. But in his next two starts, he threw for 422 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.
The Cowboys are hoping to see another good performance to beat Cincy tonight.
Cowboys and Bengals INACTIVES
The Cowboys have WR Brandin Cooks and CB Trevon Diggs back this week, but G Zack Martin and DE DeMarcus Lawrence remain on IR.
The Bengals are without starting tacjle Orlando Brown Jr., who was originally designated as doubtful as well as linebacker Logan Wilson, who's out for thee season after a knee procedure.
One Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader may secretly be cheering on the Bengals tonight...
Bengals on a losing streak against the Cowboys
The Bengals are on a five-game losing streak against the Cowboys, with their last victory happening 20 years ago, in 2004.
Tonight, they'll be looking for their first win IN Dallas since 1988, which was their one and only win as a visitor in Dallas.

The Dallas Cowboys will wear their all-white color rush uniforms tonight. One week after rocking their throwbacks on Thanksgiving, this week they will don their "arctic Cowboy" uniforms, which they debuted for the first time in 2022.

Cowboys and Bengals: Where they stand
Both the Bengals and Cowboys are clinging to their last bit of playoff hopes as they head into this Week 14 matchup, although a loss won't keep either of them out of contention just yet. It certainly won't help though.
Bengals
The Bengals enter this game at 4-8 and coming off three straight losses. They're currently 10th in the AFC. Still, quarterback Joe Burrow's stats tell a different story. He leads the league in completions (302), attempts (446), passing yards (3,337), and passing touchdowns (30) and he's thrown just five interceptions.
Cowboys
The Cowboys enter this game at 5-7 and 12th in the NFC standings. They got a bit of a boost with two wins in their last two games, but they're still going to need a lot to go right in order to clinch a Wild Card, which starts with a win tonight. They've been playing without quarterback Dak Prescott since Week 9 when he suffered a hamstring injury. He is one of several injuries to starters that the Cowboys have dealt with this season. Cooper Rush has taken over for Prescott and steadily improved, with no interceptions in their last two victories.
Both teams giving up points
The Cowboys and Bengals are tied for 26th in the NFL for most points allowed, averaging 28.3 points per game.
