Following a run that lasted more than two decades and saw six Super Bowl titles, the Patriots and their iconic coach have decided to bring things to an end. This of course leads to the immediate question of where one of the league’s most successful tacticians will coach next.

Bill Belichick & Patriots part ways

As we now know, Bill Belichick - according to reports - is leaving the New England Patriots after twenty-four years with the team. While it is unclear where he will go next, the experts are already speculating as to where one of the NFL’s greatest coaches could end up. Understandably, the list of teams that would welcome a guy with Belichick’s experience and accolades is not short. After all, this is a six-time Super Bowl winner that we’re talking about and one who changed the sport.

Regarding possible suitors, one of the front runners for the coach may be the New York Giants, where he was already a defensive coordinator from 1985 to 1990. This is a fan favorite, and given the recent run of results for the Giants, this could be a good move for the man who had a hand in the forging of Tom Brady. Yet, we should also say that the Giants have shown no official interest in Belichick i.e., this is all just speculation for the moment.

But where will Bill Belichick land if he leaves the Patriots?

Per reports by Dan Graziano, the Washington Commanders, and the Atlanta Falcons are being discussed as possible destinations for Belichick. The Falcons have been interested in Belichick for a couple of weeks. Atlanta is a defensive team that could benefit from the mind of a defensive genius Like Belichick. Moreover, let’s keep in mind that if Belichick continues in the NFL and is able to win another 14 games, he will be tying Don Shula with the most in regular and post-season wins.
