Bills hand Chiefs first loss of the season
The Kansas City Chiefs finally lost a game in Week 11. The Buffalo Bills beat the Chiefs 30-21.
The Kansas City Chiefs were 9-0 heading into their Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills. That streak finally came to an end on Sunday as the Bills beat the Chiefs 30-21.
Mahomes' interception sealed the loss
The Bills were in the lead by just two points, 23-21 when quarterback Josh Allen made a 26-yard touchdown run on a fourth down to make it a 30-21 lead late in the fourth quarter.
The Chiefs have found some pretty crazy ways to win games this season, so when they were down 30-21 but with two minutes still left in the game and another chance on offense, not a single person was counting them out just yet.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes got the Chiefs into field goal territory on an 18-yard run, but it was called back due to a penalty on an offensive lineman.
Instead, on the next play Mahomes’ pass intended for tight end Travis Kelce was intercepted by Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard, sealing the loss to the Bills.
Mahomes finished the game 23-of-33 for 196 yards and three touchdowns plus two interceptions. Allen finished 27-of-40 for 262 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, plus 12 carries for 55 yards and the rushing touchdown.
The Chiefs are now 9-1 while the Bills are 9-2.
