Bills vs Jets: NFL Monday Night injury report: Hyde, Brown, Becton and Hall
As we head into Monday Night Football, the Buffalo Bills prepare to face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium with a clean slate of injuries.
As we approach this week’s exciting showdown between the Buffalo Bills (0-0) and the New York Jets (0-0) scheduled for Monday, September 11 at MetLife Stadium, the injury status of key players on both teams comes into focus.
The New York Jets have officially marked three of their offensive starters as “questionable” on the injury list leading up to the season opener. However, there’s promising news as all three players completed full practice sessions on Saturday, signaling positive strides in their recovery.
Among those in the spotlight are running back Breece Hall, left tackle Duane Brown, and right tackle Mekhi Becton. Initially, they were listed as “questionable” earlier in the week but transitioned from limited participants to full participants as the week unfolded.
Additionally, slot cornerback Michael Carter II briefly appeared on the injury list on Saturday due to a minor elbow issue. However, it’s reassuring to note that he is now a full participant and is expected to be available for Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills.

Throughout the practice week, Hall, Brown, and Becton carried injury designations as they continued their recovery journeys from off-season surgeries. Fortunately, there was never serious doubt about their availability for the Jets’ highly anticipated home opener, although Becton missed Friday’s practice due to illness.
It’s worth highlighting that both Brown and Becton were absent for the 2022 opener, underscoring the Jets’ improved health status as they kick off the 2023 season.
On the Buffalo Bills’ side, the injury report this week featured veteran safety Micah Hyde as the sole player. Hyde had been limited in Thursday’s practice due to a back injury. However, the good news is that he has since been removed from the injury report after being a full participant in Friday’s walk-through and Saturday’s practice. Hyde has consistently expressed optimism about his readiness for Week 1.
