WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM HOUSTON!!!
Remaining schedule: Bills
The Bills don’t have it much easier than the Texans do. After tonight’s game Buffalo has Pittsburgh, Cincy, New England, Cleveland before closing out the season with two homes games. They will play the Super Bowl Champs of last year, Philly, before their season finale against the Jets. Each and every game will be important in shaping the AFC playoff picture, and they will need to put a premium on they two remaining division games if they are going to have a chance to with the AFC East.
Remaining schedules: Houston
IT’s about that time where we have to start looking at who each team has left as the playoff picture starts to take shape. The Texans have a tough next few weeks coming up with Buffalo tonight, Indy next week, and the Chiefs the week after. Then they have a couple games against Arizona and Las Vegas but they need to win at least one or two games before then to give themselves a chance for their final two games against LA and Indy.

AFC standings
Taking a look at the AFC Standing we see both of these teams that we had a shot of winning their respective divisions in a position that has them against the ropes coming into this Week 12 match up. The Houston Texans are in a bit more peculiar of a situation with a 5-5 record and three games back of the Colts and a game back of the Jags. They will most likely be shooting for a Wild Card spot come the end of the season while the Bills are trailing the Pats who have a record of 9-2 and have a BYE in they pocket. Buffalo is on the heels of the Pats, but they know they have to keep winning to have a chance at the division. If not they could be getting the Wild Card spot, and that would mean road games throughout the playoffs.
CJ Stroud still out
The Texans are going to be without their starting QB CJ Stroud for at least another week. He took a big hit against the Denver Broncos a few weeks ago, and has yet to be cleared from concussion protocol. The Texans have a gauntlet over the next few weeks, so they will need their star QB to be healthy and ready to lead them over the final month and a half of the season.
Houston’s dominant D
When it comes to dominant defenses, it doesn’t get much stronger than this Houston unit. DeMeco Ryans has sculpted this team to be a reflection of the kind of player he was back when he was suiting up with the Texans and Eagles not so long ago. The Texans give up the fewest yards per game, allowing just 258.1 to their opponents while also allowing the fewest points per game with 16.3 given up per outing. If they could just get a little more support from their offense they would be in fantastic shape.
Texans star watch
Davis Mills has been with the Texans for quite a long time, and he knows how things go in House. He may not be the flashiest, or the most athletic but he has shown he can sling the rock and win games for the Texans. He’s the perfect back up QB who doesn’t make too much noise, and is always waiting for his chance whenever it may come. The fifth year QB out of Stanford has won both of the games he’s started, and almost led his team to a win over the Denver Broncos a few weeks ago when Stroud got injured early in the game. He had just 137 yards in that game, with no TDs or INTs, but he put up 292 yards last week, and 274 last week. With a defense like the Texans have, he doesn’t have to be perfect he just has to keep his team in the game until the end.
Bills star watch
It has been far from perfect from Josh Allen who is the reigning MVP of the league. He has looked really good at times, but the thing that made him the MVP of last year was his ability to take care of the ball and make winning plays when it mattered most. Last year he had 20 TDs and 9 INTs, more than half way through the season he’s got just 10 TDs and 12 INTs and a rating of 67.9 which puts him in the middle of the pack among all QBs. Last week we saw the best and the worst of him. He threw a couple of picks, but he also won the game with a couple of TD scrambles. Tonight he’s going to have to be on his game against one of the top defensive sides in the league.
Texans last game
The Texans went to Tennessee for a divisional showdown against the Titans and did just about enough to edge one of the worst teams in the league after a terrible first half. The offense couldn’t get anything going, and Houston trailed 3-0 at the break. They came into the 2nd half starting to put some drives together and Davis Mills found Nico Collins on a TD toss to take a 7-6 lead and a FG later in the 3rd would stretch the lead to 10-6. Another FG would put Houston up by a touchdown, but Cam Ward tied the game up with a TD pass to Van Jefferson with just over 90 seconds to go in the 4th quarter. Mills and the offense would drive down the field and set up the winning 35 yard Matthew Wright FG as time expired.
Bills last game
The Bills hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Sunday afternoon can’t miss game and as expected, there were plenty of points to go around. It was a slow start to the game but both teams turned it on in the second quarter as Josh Allen started to heat up at the same time as Bucs RB Sean Tucker who had a couple of TD totes. Allen threw a couple of interceptions, and his three TD passes weren’t enough to keep TB from taking a 32-31 fourth quarter lead but Allen’s two TD scrambles would prove to be the deciding factor in the Bills win over the Bucs from Orchard Park.
We are live from NRG Stadium
Hello everyone and welcome to Houston where the Texans are keeping their heads above water despite having to have played their last two games without starting QB CJ Stroud. They have rattled off a couple wins in a row against division rivals and now comes one of the toughest tests in the conference. Back up QB Davis Mills will go head to head with the reigning MVP of the league and a Bills team that is trying to keep pace with the division leading New England Patriots. Both of these teams need a win tonight. It may not be a playoff game, but it will feel like one, especially for the home team who know they have no margin for error.
Bills vs. Texans
It’s an AFC showdown between two playoff hopefuls to start Week 12 from NRG Stadium. Both of these teams were expected to contend in the AFC, but now these two teams are in a must win situation with a month and a half left in the season. It’s Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Houston to take on the Texans and their top notch defense and AS English will be with you all night providing live coverage, stats, highlights and analysis of tonight’s must win game.
