The Arizona Cardinals re-resigned one of their defensive depth players, Antonio Hamilton, on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old cornerback was signed to the practice squad in 2021 after getting cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and later to the active roster. Hamilton played in all 17 games, including two starts.

Antonio Hamilton stats

He recorded 38 total tackles with four pass breakups, and was on the field for 29% of Arizona’s defensive snaps and 47% of the special teams snaps. Hamilton was also tied for second in the franchise, with nine special teams tackles, in addition to 208 special teams snaps.

The Cardinals roster allows Hamilton to add skill as Arizona’s fourth or fifth cornerback, and specialize in special teams play.
