CeeDee Lamb injury update: When the Cowboys WR could return and what it means for Dak
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is doing just fine without wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, but his return would give him a serious boost.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been sidelined since Week 2, when he suffered an ankle injury. Since then, the Cowboys have lost one game, tied one game, and won one game. And quarterback Dak Prescott has been thriving without him, leaning on wideout George Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson in his absence.

Still, getting Lamb back on the field can only boost the Cowboys’ chances at winning games and Prescott’s at being considered for MVP. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer provided an update ahead of their Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers.
CeeDee Lamb’s return window opens
It’s unlikely that Lamb will suit up for the Cowboys’ game in Carolina this Sun day, but COO Stephen Jones as well as Schottenheimer suggested that Lamb could return within the next few weeks. Schotty also mentioned that WR/special teams ace KaVontae Turpin (foot injury) could return around that same time.
#Cowboys superstar WR CeeDee Lamb (ankle) could return in the next 2 weeks, Stephen Jones says.

“They’re both moving around good… I think the window is getting smaller,” Schottenheimer said.
Dallas’ Week 7 game on October 19 would be arguably an even more crucial moment to get CeeDee back in pads, as the Cowboys will face a divisional opponent in the Washington Commanders, and their own quarterback Jayden Daniels is healthy again.
So far this season, Prescott has completed 139-of-195 passes (71.3% completion rate), throwing for 1,356 yards, 10 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. He’s been particularly strong on play-action passes and has led the Cowboys to a strong start, despite playing without Lamb for a significant portion of the season.
"[Dak Prescott] has answered the call and right now I think he needs to be a leading candidate for league MVP honors. ... He's definitely a top 2 leading candidate."

His play has been so dominant that he’s been in MVP chants and has shown excellent efficiency, throwing seven touchdowns without an interception in his past two games. With Lamb back in the mix, he could become an even more realistic candidate.
