Despite their difficult season filled with injuries and embarrassing losses, the Dallas Cowboys still boast one of the best and most dynamic wide receivers in the league. CeeDee Lamb made history on Sunday, joining another Cowboys Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Lamb joins Michael Irvin with fourth 1,000-yard season

Lamb wears number 88, an exclusive number for the Dallas Cowboys, worn only by the best receivers. Drew Pearson wore it, Michael Irvin wore it, Dez Bryant wore it, and now Lamb wears it. And after the Cowboys' victory over the Carolina Panthers today, Lamb now shares another thing in common with Irvin.

Early in the game, Lamb caught a 14-yard touchdown pass, and those 14 yards made him the second wide receiver in Cowboys history to have four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons, joining Hall of Famer Michael Irvin.

Lamb came into the game with 973 receiving yards and ended the game with 116 yards, bringing his season total to 1,089 through Week 15. After coming up just short of 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie season in 2020 (935), Lamb has finished with 1,000+ in all four of his last seasons, even this one, with Prescott out and all the issues the team is dealing with, plus a persistent shoulder injury.

Lamb is just one season away from tying Irvin for the longest streak of consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Irvin had five straight in the 1990s during the Cowboys' dynasty years.
