CeeDee’s cryptic social media message
With all the drama going on regarding the Dallas Cowboys players and their contracts (or lack thereof), it’s hard not to read into every little thing.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb missed mandatory minicamp as he looks to negotiate a contract extension with the team. The No. 1 receiver for quarterback Dak Prescott has more than proven himself, with 5,145 receiving yards, 395 receptions, and 32 touchdowns in four years. Last year alone, he had 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. But a deal still has not been made.
Now, receivers like Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson have set the bar even higher. Jefferson will receive $140 million on a four-year contract, and Lamb is looking to capitalize on the rising market.

Could this mean there has been some clarity as far as contract talks? There is hope that a deal will be made before the start of training camp on July 24. Lamb is just entering the fifth and final year of his rookie contract and an extension would be the wisest choice for the Cowboys, who need him ready and happy when training begins.
