Update:

Legendary NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw has revealed he called Andy Reid to apologize after making disparaging comments about the Kansas City Chiefs coach in the aftermath of Super Bowl LVII in 2023.

What did Terry Bradshaw say about Andy Reid?

After the Chiefs had defeated the Philadelphia Eagles at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, former Pittsburgh Steelers icon Bradshaw, who has worked an analyst for Fox since 1994, told Reid to “waddle on over here,” for an interview, in which he was told to “have a cheeseburger on us”.

The remarks caused a significant amount of controversy and, in an interview with People two years later, Bradshaw revealed he contacted the Chief coach the following day to apologize for his words.

“Oh. Oh, I am the worst there is. The very next day I called Andy and said, ‘Wow, I am so sorry. I had no idea I’d create such a storm’”.

Andy Reid’s surprising reaction to Bradshaw’s fat-shaming

The four-time Super Bowl champion, however, also claimed Reid had taken his jibes well, when he could quite easily have been offended.

He was laughing. But that’s how it is. Fans are very protective of their football team. I’m an outsider, so therefore I don’t have a right to say that, and I get it”.

Reid’s Chiefs and the Eagles will go head to head for the Super Bowl once more in New Orleans on February 9, and Bradshaw will again be calling the game for Fox: “I won’t make that mistake this time,” he assures.
