GAME TIME!
And we're off! O'Connell and the Raiders start us on offense. Let's go!
Isiah Pacheco vs Raiders defense
On the other side, the Chiefs rely on a running back of their own in Isiah Pacheco, who rushed for 66 yards in the first half of the Chiefs game last week against the Eagles. Considering their butterfinger problem as of late, the Chiefs may be relying more on their run game today as well.
Unlike the Chiefs defense though, the Raiders defense rank quite low in defending against the rush.
Josh Jacobs vs Chiefs defense
The Raiders have been relying quite a lot on their rushing plays. In other words, Josh Jacobs has been carrying a lot of the load on offense. He currently leads the NFL in rush attempts over the last three weeks and the Raiders are now ninth in success rate on rush plays.
Chiefs third-ranked defense
If the Chiefs can get to Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell first though, they'll be fine to deal with the rush plays. The Chiefs' third-ranked defense in points allowed is led by DT Chris Jones, who has 7.5 sacks on the season so far and DE George Karlaftis, who has 7. Just after those leaders are Michael Danna with 5.5 sacks, Drue Tranquill with 3.5, and Leo Chenal with three.
Travis Kelce vs Raiders
The Chiefs tight end's stats look pretty damn good against the Raiders. Travis Kelce is just three touchdowns away from being the career-leader in receiving touchdowns scored against the Raiders. Right now, Antonio Gates holds that record qith 13 touchdowns in 31 games.
This will be Kelce's 19th against the Raiders and he's logged 100 catches for 1,289 yards and 11 touchdowns.
In fact, Gates holds the record for all-time receiving yards against the Raiders as well with 1,424, so it seems Kelce could surpass him for that record as well. If it doesn't happen today, it surely will in the Chiefs and Raiders next meetup in Week 16.
3 key Chiefs players out vs Raiders
The Chiefs and Raiders have released their inactives list and the Chiefs will be without a trio of key players today - WR KadariusToney (ankle/hip), RB JerickMcKinnon (groin), and WR MecoleHandman (thumb - IR). McKinnon has 19 receptions for 155 yards and three touchdowns and Toney has 22 receptions for 139 yards and one touchdown.

WR Kadarius Toney
DE BJ Thompson
OL Mike Caliendo
DT Neil Farrell
DE Malik Herring
Las Vegas Raiders Inactives

Raiders' Roderic Teamer arrested for DUI this morning
Raiders safety Roderic Teamer came back from Injured Reserve on Saturday, but it didn't last long....
This morning, he was arrested on DUI charges and will not play against the Chiefs and will face potential suspension.
Back in 2020, he was suspended for four games after breaking the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Chiefs favorites vs Raiders
The Chiefs are coming off of a disappointing loss to the Eagles on Monday night and will be looking for a comeback in Sin City against their AFC West foes.
History on Kansas City's side
The Chiefs have won the last seven straight AFC West Division titles and have never lost in Las Vegas. They have also won their last five games against the Raiders and 10 of their last 11 overall.
Although Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did not have his best game last week, throwing for less than 200 yards, he's still one of the best in the league. This season, he's 253 of 377 for 2,619 yards, 19 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions and 13 sacks. On top of that, he's rushed 48 times for 296 yards - something the Raiders defense should look out for.
Dropped passes an issue for Chiefs
If there's one thing the Chiefs need to improve, it's this. The league leaders in dropped passes right now are Rashee Rice (leading with five), Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who dropped a pass that could have won them last week's game against the Eagles. On the season, the Chiefs have 26 dropped passes. The Raiders, on the other hand, have just 12 dropped passes, with Davante Adams leading with four.
The Chiefs will surely be hyper-aware of this issue in a critical AFC West matchup, but it's something the Raiders will hope to take advantage of. Even still, it's likely the Chiefs will swing back from last week's loss.
