Chiefs 21 vs 30 Bills summary, stats, scores and highlights | NFL Week 11

You never count them Chiefs out until there are zeros on the clock and Terrell Bernard made the play that officially ended the game. He picked off Mahomes who finished the day 22/33 for 196 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs as the Chiefs tasted defeat for the first time since last Christmas. 

The Chiefs cushion all of the sudden isn't that comfy in the AFC. They lead the Bills and the Steelers by just a game, and the Bills have the tie breaker should it come down to this. Regardless of how things shake up, we will most likely be seeing these two teams playing again some time in January.

CBS commentator Tony Romo kept saying who was going to put on their super hero cape and win this game. This is the kind of super human effort he was referring to. On 4th and 2 from the KC 26 Allen tucked it, got the first down and much much more. Allen was the leading rusher for Buffalo with 55 yards on 12 carries and 1 TD, none bigger than this one. 

Mahomes took just five minutes to get his team down the field and close the gap to two points with under 8 minutes to go. He found Gray in the end zone for the second time. Mahomes didn't have a great game in this battle of top QBs in the game, but when he needed to make plays late in the game, he showed up. 

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but we knew the floodgates would eventually open up. Allen stretched the lead out to a two possession game with this TD pass to Curtis Samuel who scored his first TD as a Buffalo Bill. Allen ended the night with 262 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT on 27/40 passing.  You knew Mahomes and the Chiefs would respond, and they did. 

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have had to deal with injuries all year, and that has forced him to used all the weapons in his arsenal. On Sunday it was Xavier Worthy and Noah Gray. Worthy had the first TD catch and Gray snagged the first of his two TDs as the lead changed again right before the Two Minute Warning. Buffalo would kick a late field goal to take the lead into halftime. 

The Bills defense got an early pick, but the Chiefs defense repaid the favor on a 4th down pass that Allen threw right into the hands of Chamarri Conner. That would set the Chiefs up with great field position and Patrick Mahomes would put the Chiefs back in the lead just a few minutes later. 

Jame Cook got his second TD of the first half with a bruising run from six yards out to put the Bills back on top in a second quarter that saw four different lead changes. Cook ended the night with just 20 yards on 9 carries but two of those went for six. 

Mahomes and the Chiefs would respond after the interception. The KC QB hit 5/6 passes and connected with Xavier Worthy on four of those passes including this one to give the Chiefs the lead with the first play of the second quarter. 

Just a few plays after the interception, it was James Cook punching it into the end zone from three yards out. Allen would hit Curtis Samuel on a huge 3rd and 8 red zone conversion to extend the drive. It wasn't perfect from the Bills but it was about as good as you could play against a great team like the Chiefs. 

It wasn't just the game of the week, it was the game of the year and it lived up to the billing. The Buffalo Bills handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first lost and inched closer to the one seed with their win on Sunday from Orchard Park. Josh Allen won it late with a 4th down conversion that he turned into a TD. 

Josh Allen had the game winning play, but the defense started the Bills off night with a big play that led to the first score of the night. Patrick Mahomes was picked off by Taylor Rapp less than a minute into the game and that gave Allen and the offense great field position to start the game. 

It's never certain with Patrick Mahomes on the other side, but after they went up two possessions it was Bernard who came in and closed the door on the Chiefs perfect season. 

IT'S ALL OVER!!!

The Bills bring the Chiefs perfect season to an end and now have a real shot at the one seed and home field advantage after taking down the KC from Orchard Park.

Mahomes rolls to the right side and he looks back across the middle of the field for Kelce but Bernard came flying in and made the pick to end the game and spoil the Chiefs perfect season. 

BUF is going to hold on for the win!

Mahomes takes off and picks up a first down with an 18 yard scramble, but it's coming back after an offensive holding on Taylor.

Mahomes rolls to the right side and he finds Watson for a 10 yard gain,

Mahomes over the middle for Perine and that pass was almost picked by Lewis.

Mahomes dumps it off to Perine but this time is is wrapped up by Lewis for a loss of 3 yards.

KC get the ball from their 30 and and Mahomes finds Perine out of the backfield and he takes it 11 yards on the final play before the Two Minute Warning.

Allen on the QB keeper out of the shotgun and he picks up 4 yards to bring up 3rd and short. The left guard Dawkins was injured on the play and he is going to need some medical attention with 3:00 to go.

Pass to the right side for Knox and he picks up a five yards on first down.

Allen over the middle for Shakir and he he makes the catch before taking a big shot! He has to come out of the game, but that catch is worth a little bit of pain for a few moments.

This is what winners do. They went down by more than a possession and Mahomes kicked the offense into overdrive. He drove his team right down the field in 5 minutes and found Gray for the second time today.

Each team has picked off the opposing quarterback and the offenses have turned those TOs into seven points on the other end. 

Maomes is 10/16 for 98 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INTs while Allen is 15/23 for 167 with 1 INT.

The Bills picked off Allen on 4th down and Conner returned it into BUF territory, setting up a second KC TD. Allen has 5 INTs on the year, three of them in the last six quarters. 

Cook punched it in for a second time in the first half after a great punt return from Codrington set the Bills up with great field position. 

KC went 88 yards on their first scoring drive and Mahomes hit Xavier Worthy four times for 61 yards including the TD pass to the right side. 

James Cook told reporters before this game he was going to try to get into the end zone every time he touched the ball. 

The Bills got off to a perfect start. After kicking off, they picked off Patrick Mahomes in the first minute of the game and that set up an early score just a few minutes later.

Mahomes was under pressure and looked right but that past to Smith-Schuster was incomplete. There was a dust up after the play and both teams get hit with offsetting personal foul penalties.

Big pass down the right hash mark and makes a great catch for a huge gain of 31 but got crushed at the end of it. Luckily he popped right back up.

The Bills are going to challenge the call on the field but Hopkins made a fantastic one handed catch and that is going to stand.

Couldn't have been a better start for the Bills. THey kick off, force a TO and score a TD in the first five minutes of the game. Cook ran it in after a crucial 3rd down conversion.

On Mahomes' first pass of the day, Mahomes got hit on the throw and over threw Gray on a deep ball over the middle. Rapp was there to make the pick and return it to the 50, but an unnecessary roughness is going to back the Bills up to their 35.

KC get the ball to start the afternoon and they take over from the 30 on the first possession. 
Worthy gets the end around on the first play of the game and he picks up 7 yards on the right side.

Today’s odds 

The Chiefs might be the only undefeated team in the league, but the Bills are at home and they are rolling. That’s why Buffalo is a 2 point favorite with the Over/Under set at 46.5. 

This one is tough. The Bills are playing great and putting up points. Its going to come down to can the Chiefs offense keep up with this sizzling Buffalo team? I think they somehow, some way get it done and all but clinch the top spot in the AFC with almost two months remaining in the season.

AFC standings  

Taking a look the AFC Standings, we see these two teams at the top of the conference with eight weeks to go. The Chiefs are perfect, but the Bills can change that and that would really shake things up in the AFC. If they win they will be just a game back of the Chiefs and hold the tie break over Buffalo. If the Chiefs win, you can basically wrap the one seed up and gift it to KC because they would have a three game lead over the Bills. A lot is on the line in this game, but will this be the last time we see these two teams playing this season? I don’t think so. 

Star watch: Bills 

Buffalo went all in on their QB this offseason and Allen is delivering with a new cast of characters that are getting better and better as the season goes on. Allen has been in MVP form, and is currently second on the odds leaderboard to win MVP behind Lamar Jackson. He has thrown for 2,281 yards, 17 TDs and 4 INTs, two of them coming last week. He also has 4 rushing TDs as he continues to carry the Bills at the top of the AFC East and has Buffalo eyeing home field advantage in the playoffs. A win here tonight would do wonders for their one seed aspirations. 

Star watch: Chiefs 

It has not been the prototypical Patrick Mahomes season. We are used to seeing him put up jaw dropping numbers and dazzling plays. He has made fantastic plays when he has needed to but the offense is running like we are used to seeing the Chiefs offense run. Mahomes has 2,208 yards, 12 TDs and 9 INTs through nine games. They aren’t terrible numbers, but they aren’t great and a lot of that has to do with injuries that the Chiefs have suffered. No matter the numbers, Mahomes and the Chiefs are still undefeated. Imagine what’s going to happen if and when this team starts playing like we are used to on the offensive end.

The Bills came into the season with some big shake ups during the summer as two of Josh Allen’s favorite targets departed. That meant the Bills QB was going to take the brunt of the load and the responsibility and he has shined in what’s been an MVP worthy season. They started with three straight wins, but then lost against two other contenders in back to back weeks to make people second guess how good this team really is. They bounced back from defeats to Baltimore and Houston with a narrow win over the Jets, and then the offense started to ignite. They scored more than 30 points in their last four games, but it hasn’t been against tremendous competition. Today they look for their first big win over a Super Bowl contender, and what better time to do it than against the undefeated Chiefs?

Season recap: KC 

It’s been perfect but it hasn’t been pretty for Kansas City for most of the year. They have been coming up with new ways to win. It all started back in Week 1 when they won by a toe against the Baltimore Ravens. Then kicked a game winning field goal after getting a generous flag for pass interference against the Bengals in Week 2. A no call in the next game agains the Falcons helped them close out Atlanta. They have only won two of their 10 games in two possession games, and have been very fortunate in a lot of their games. They say you have to be good to be lucky and the Chiefs have been luckier than good a lot of weeks. 

Last game: Bills

It wasn’t easy for the Bills in Indy last week even though they got spotted with a 7 point lead early in the game with a Taron Johnson pick six on the first defensive possession of the Bills day. The Bills were in control all day, but couldn’t pull away from the Colts on a day that Josh Allen had 2 INTs and no passing TDs. He did however run one in from 13 yards out to give the Bills a 17-13 lead and would hang on from there. The defense shined in the second  against a struggling Indy offense, forcing a fumble, a turnover on downs and an interception in three straight possessions. Allen would lead a 13 play 84 yard drive that would put the Bills up 30-13 and close the door on the Colts. 

Last game: Chiefs 

It was another ugly game for Kansas City and the Chiefs, but they continue to come up with new ways to win. Denver led 14-3 in the second quarter, but as they always do the Chiefs would tighten the game and eventually take a two point lead on a day that Patrick Mahomes passed the ball 42 times. The run game never got going and the Chiefs struggled in the red zone but had a two point lead in the final few minutes of the game. Bo Nix drove the Broncos down the field and set up a game winning field goal attempt, but it was blocked by KC and the Chiefs survived another week.

Hello everyone and welcome to Buffalo where the Bills come into Week 11 on a five game roll and are one of the hottest teams and offenses in the league. They have scored 30 points or more in their last 4 games. Josh Allen has been in MVP form since the early part of the season and he has the Bills looking like contenders in the AFC. The Chiefs are having a perfect start to their three-peat campaign but it hasn’t been easy. They are 9-0 but had another narrow victory after stealing one against the Broncos in Arrowhead last week. They are looking to stay undefeated at keep their cushion as the one seed in the AFC, and they can take a giant step by handing the Bills a home loss.
