Cincinnati Bengals agree $470 million Paycor deal
Local officials have agreed to a massive renovation of Paycor Stadium, setting the team up with a new 11-year lease extension.

For the second year in a row, the Cincinnati Bengals battled to a 9-8 record in the AFC North but failed to reach the postseason.
The team’s front office will be working tirelessly in the offseason to find suitable support for quarterback Joe Burrow, but their most expensive new signing will not be a player. On Thursday the team announced that an agreement has been made on a massive renovation program for their Paycor Stadium home.
The Bengals and local officials have agreed terms on a new $470 million investment in the stadium, along with an 11-year lease extension for the team.
Initially, the Bengals had forwarded a massive $870 million renovation package. The new, smaller deal will see Hamilton County contribute $350 million for the work, while the Bengals will pay just $120 million.
“This is a significant day for the Bengals and Hamilton County as we secure the team’s future in Cincinnati,” Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn said in a statement.
“We thank the Hamilton County Commissioners for supporting this agreement to ensure Paycor Stadium remains an excellent venue and a focal point for Cincinnati’s riverfront. We are proud to call Paycor Stadium our home and to keep our future here in Cincinnati, where it belongs.”
The Bengals have been at Paycor Stadium since 2000, their second-ever long-term home after Riverfront Stadium. Paycor Stadium was initially planned as a joint-venture between the Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds but the MLB team opted to build their own home, Great American Ball Park.
