Given the stage at which we are at in the 2023-24 NFL season, it’s not surprising that both teams have their share of injury concerns ahead of their Week 12 showdown. The question now is can the Commanders bounce back from an ugly loss to the Giants, or will the Cowboys’ desire to maintain an undefeated record at home prevail?

Commanders @ Cowboys: The Breakdown

As mentioned before the Washington Commanders are fresh off a not-so-enjoyable 31-19 loss to the Chicago Bears in their last game. Needless to say, they will be hoping for a tastier result when they travel to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Sitting on a record of 4-7 and about to face a team that’s on 7-3, one could say it’s a critical moment for Washington’s team even more so when considering the fact that the Cowboys are coming off of a convincing 31-19 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Of course, we’ve got to address the looming shadow of injuries in this one as the Commanders look to secure a spot in the postseason picture, while the Cowboys look to maintain theirs. Off the bat, we can tell you that the Cowboys are in much better shape coming into this one, with just two players on the IR including running back Rico Dowdle who is listed as questionable, and Jayron Kearse who is listed as doubtful . As for the Commanders, they seem to be in much worse shape with no less than seven players listed on their injury report, five of whom are out.
