Commanders hit with Jayden Daniels injury scare days before facing Packers
After dominating their NFC East rivals in Week 1, the Washington Commanders face a tough Packers team in Week 2 and may be without their starting QB.

The Washington Commanders are monitoring a potential concern with quarterback Jayden Daniels after he appeared on Monday’s injury report ahead of a quick turnaround for Thursday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers.
Daniels injury raises questions before Packers matchup
Daniels was listed with a right wrist injury, though Washington did not practice and his participation was only an estimation. Encouragingly, he was projected as a full participant, suggesting the issue may be minor. Still, for a quarterback, any discomfort in the throwing wrist is something worth keeping an eye on.

The Commanders are fresh off a 21-6 win over the New York Giants in Week 1, where Daniels completed 19 of 30 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown, adding 68 rushing yards on 11 carries. His dual-threat ability will be critical against a Packers defense that looked dominant in a season-opening win over the Lions.
Green Bay will also be featuring new star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who was acquired in a blockbuster trade from the Dallas Cowboys. The matchup with Parsons is already a major storyline, and Daniels’ wrist status only adds another layer of intrigue heading into Thursday night.
For now, the Commanders expect Daniels to be under center, but with such a short week, fans will be watching closely for any updates before kickoff.
