Commanders QB Jayden Daniels refuses to tolerate Terry McLaurin disrespect
Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin finally notched his long-term deal with the team, but he’s got some catching up to do. Daniels isn’t concerned.

The Washington Commanders have their star receiver back, and quarterback Jayden Daniels is making sure any talk of rust gets shut down.

Why Jayden Daniels isn’t worried about Terry McLaurin missing camp
While he was waiting on a contract extension from the Commanders, McLaurin sat out most of the offseason, including mandatory minicamp and training camp. Not only did he not practice with the team, but he barely even made any appearances, causing some to question his timing and chemistry with his quarterback.
Daniels isn’t buying it, insisting their connection never left and shutting down any doubts that McLaurin may not be ready for the season.
“I mean, I told y’all he was coming back soon,” Daniels said. “So, I’m excited. Getting reps; that’s the only thing we could really go with now. We didn’t have a whole camp, so…as many reps as possible. I don’t think it [chemistry] ever leaves.”

McLaurin echoed Daniels’ comments as well, reiterating that he just needs to get back into the swing with the QB, but that he’s been working out in the meantime to easily and quickly get to that point.
“I know how to study and get ready,” McLaurin said. “It’s just being on the same page with Jayden, taking care of my body, getting right back in the cold tub after every practice, doing my dry needling, doing my rolling out at home, getting my massages, doing the chiropractor ... I’m going to do everything I can to be ready for that and to play as much as I can. And I trust the plan that’s going to be in front of me to help me get there.”
With Week 1 against their NFC East rivals New York Giants coming up fast, Washington’s top duo is wasting no time proving they’re still one of the NFL’s most dangerous tandems.
