Update:

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was a guest on an episode of “The Pivot Podcast”. In it, he named one of his “least favorite” defensive back in the league as Dallas Cowboys’ Jourdan Lewis.

St. Brown said that he’d never heard anyone talk the kind of trash that Lewis did.

“He was talking crazy out of pocket,” said St. Brown about Lewis during a game against the Cowboys last season. “Even [Jameson Williams] heard it too. He was coming in. At that point it’s like, I don’t know what he’s saying. I’m trying to make plays, win the game. I’m not worried about him. But once he starts talking like that it’s like, all right, if I do get a chance to kill him, I’ma kill him.”

What did Lewis say about St. Brown’s comments?

Of course, it didn’t take long for Lewis to catch wind of St. Brown’s comments. He responded on an Instagram story, first posting the part of the podcast where he is mentioned and writing the caption, “It’s only for y’all fr.” with a smiley face.

Lewis is actually from Detroit himself and also mentioned that he wouldn’t want to be friends with “a Detroit Lion not from Detroit” (St. Brown was born and raised in California).

The Cowboys and Lions will face each other in Week 6 of the 2024-25 NFL season at AT&T Stadium, where the Cowboys won all of their regular-season games last year. The last time the two teams met was last year on New Year’s Eve, when the Cowboys beat the Lions 20-19 at home. That Lions loss kept Detroit from claiming the top seed in the NFC.

Now there will be even more drama to look forward to when the Lions head to Dallas on October 13.
