COWBOYS

Cowboys’ new signing Jordan Phillips already hates Eagles fans

The Dallas Cowboys signed a new defensive tackle and it turns out he was already on board with one of the mainstays of what it means to be a Dallas Cowboy.

I was once in Iceland sporting a Dallas Cowboys beanie (it’s chilly there) and as I was staring at a dreamy scene of a waterfall and green pastures, I heard in the distance, “FLY, EAGLES, FLY! F*** THE COWBOYS!”

And that’s Eagles fans in a nutshell for you, just prepared to ruin a nice, peaceful zen moment for the sake of telling you your team sucks. In fact, I think Eagles fans hate the Cowboys more than they actually like the Eagles. Look, it’s a mutual hate, but you don’t see me screaming and cursing at strangers in serene settings or otherwise.

Anyway, though, the rivalry is just part of being a Cowboys fan, and it extends to the players as well. Fortunately for Dallas, their new signing, Jordan Phillips, is already an Eagles hater.

Jordan Phillips gets into it with Eagles fan

While the Cowboys’ new defensive tackle did spend a few months on the team of one of the enemies, the New York Giants, we can forgive him that simply because of this right here:

Phillips spent the last two seasons with the Buffalo Bills, and during this game against the Eagles, a Philly fan was doing what they do best - talking smack (no one is immune). The 6′6″, 340-pound defender stood up to the fan and got right back in his face. It went on until defensive end Shaq Lawson pushed the fan in the chest and they all walked away.

Phillips should be a nice addition to the Dallas defense as a rotational nose tackle, and it certainly helps that he already seems to have some disdain for the Eagles.
