Panthers suffer another loss after Cowboys 33-10 defeat
Young's poor night
Panthers quarterback, rookie Bryce Young had already been sacked 22 times heading into the game, and the Dallas defense made sure to keep that number increasing with seven sacks on Young. He ended with just 123 yards, one TD, and one INT. In fact, the interception ended up being a pick 6 and on his next possession, he fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Dallas.
Panthers' costly penalties
The Panthers made a few costly mistakes, making penalties that gave the Cowboys first downs when they otherwise would have gotten the ball back on downs. In the third quarter, the Panthers were just behind 17-10, but that went up to 30-10 in a matter of minutes.
Cowboys' big game
The Cowboys, on the other hand, had a great game on both offense and defense. Quarterback Dak Prescott finished the game 25 of 38 for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Schoonmaker and CeeDee Lamb were on the receiving end of those TDs.
Running back TonyPollard also added a rushing touchdown for the Cowboys on a 21-yard run that gave him just his second TD all season, with his first coming in Week 1. He finished with 61 yards, still short of ESPN's predicted 100-yard game, but a big moment for him nonetheless.
The other Cowboy to add a TD score was defensive CB DaRon Bland, who had his fourth pick-6 of the season. He caught Young's interception and took it back 31 yards into the end zone to put the Cowboys up 30-10. With that, he tied a record as defender with the most pick-sixes in a season (with Eric Allen, Ken Houston, and Jim Kearney). He also tied TE Jake Ferguson as the Cowboy with the second-most touchdowns on the season (behind Lamb).
What's next for the Cowboys and Panthers?
The Panthers fall to 1-9 and will face the TennesseeTitans on the road next Sunday.
The Cowboys improve to 7-3 and will play NFC East foes, the WashingtonCommanders on ThanksgivingDay next Thursday.

HALFTIME

The Panthers trail 17-3. Their defense is playing much better than their offense, but a few really critical penalties led to Cowboys scores. One led to a field goal and one just before halftime cost them another possession before the half and led to a Cowboys TD. Both penalties were on plays that would have seen the Panthers get the ball back on downs anyway, but instead, led to Cowboys scores.
The Panthers gave the Cowboys a critical first down on a penalty, which led to a Cowboys touchdown. It was a Prescott pass to Lamb 5 yards in the end zone. Aubrey's PAT put the Cowboys up by 14 with just 24 seconds left in the half.

GAME TIME!
The Panthers have won the toss and elected to defer. Cowboys start us off on offense.
Let's go!
The unstoppable Prescott-Lamb connection
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and receiver CeeDee Lamb have been on fire lately with their connection. Both are on track to set some records today against the Panthers. Prescott has totaled 300 passing yards in three straight games. If he does it again today, he would set a franchise record. Lamb could become the second-fastestt Cowboys player to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season - he needs just 25 more. Michael Irvin holds the number one spot with nine games, but Lamb would be just one game behind at 10.
Prescott and Lamb on a hot streak
Last week, Lamb caught a pass from Prescott that he meant to just throw away. Instead, Lamb grabbed it and gained 17 yards for the Cowboys. Three plays later, Prescott got a 10-yard rushing touchdown.
That's just one example of the hot streak these two have been on lately, particularly in the last four games.
Lamb has the most yards per game in the league right now with 617 and his 41 catches since Week 6 are tied for the most in the league (with Vikings' T.J. Hockenson, who has played one more game than Lamb). Last week, he became the first receiver in NFL history to have three straight games with 10+ catches and 150+ yards.
Since Week 6, Prescott has 12 touchdown passes, the most in the league and is second in passing yards with 1,354 only to Commanders' Sam Howell, who has also played one more game than Prescott. He has more yards per game than any other QB in the league snice Week 6 (338.5) and has completed 70% of his passes and two rushing TDs.

Pollard's opportunity to break through
Cowboys running back Tony Pollard has been struggling to make much of a difference for the offense this season, although they saw more success with a split workload between he and Rico Dowdle last week.
This week, however, could be Pollard's time to shine as he'll be up against the Panthers, who have the 26th-ranked run defense. ESPN is predicting that he could have his first 100+ yard game since Week 3.
Frank Reich to be play-caller vs Cowboys
The Panthers coach Frank Reich is resuming play-calling duties after he handed them off to OC ThomasBrown less than a month ago. Reich said, "it's not about Thomas - it's about me, the team."
Neither Reich nor Brown was doing a terrific job at play-calling, but as the Panthers are now 1-8, he had to do something.
Cowboys-Panthers: A lopsided match
The Panthers are currently the worst team in the NFL at 1-8. Their only win came against the 5-4 Houston Texans at home. That may actually be the only thing they have going for them - they play at home against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys are 4-0 at home this season and have won their last 11 home games in total at home. On the other hand, they are just 2-3 on the road, including their shocking loss to the Arizona Cardinals, whose current record is not much better than the Panthers (2-8). When Dallas loses to poor teams, it's usually on the road.
Despite all that, the Cowboys are 6-3 and their offense is scoring an average 29.9 points per game, while the Panthers defense is allowing an average 26.9 points per game. On that offense, we have the duo of QB Dak Prescott and WR CeeDee Lamb. Prrescott threw four of the seven touchdowns in last week's 49-17 win over the Giants and Lamb had his third consecutive game with 10 catches and 150 yards.
Dallas' defense continues to be a threat and Carolina's rookie QB Bryce Young continues to struggle. In conclusion...the Cowboys are heavy favorites to win this one over the Panthers, but anything could happen, especially when Dallas is away.
