Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott expecting second child
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott announced that he is expecting his second child with fiancé Sarah Jane Ramos.
Dak Prescott has not had a great football season, having one of his worst career seasons before getting injured in Week 9 and having season-ending surgery to repair a tear in his hamstring.
Off the field, however, it’s a different story. Before the season began, Prescott became the highest-paid player in NFL history with a four-year, $240 million contract extension with the Cowboys. He quickly had his million-dollar mansion in Prosper bulldozed to rebuild a bigger and better one, and proposed to Sarah Jane Ramos, the mother of their daughter Margaret Jane “MJ”, who was born in February 2024.
Now, he’s got more exciting news.
Prescott and Sarah Jane expecting baby number two
In an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Prescott and fiancé Sarah Jane announced they are expecting another daughter, due in May 2025.
The couple intentionally decided to have children close in age. While they did not reveal the next one’s first name yet, they did say that her middle name will be Rayne, which is Dak Prescott’s first name.
“Obviously parenting brings a new element to your relationship because it’s not about you two anymore, the priority is your child,” Ramos said. “But [parenting] makes you understand your partner on such a deeper, emotional level, and it’s definitely brought us even closer. It’s a blessing.”
The couple got engaged in October, but the wedding date has not been revealed. Prescott should be finishig up his rehab work on his hamstring in April, just before baby number two is due, and before the Cowboys begin offseason workouts.
Prescott shared the photos of Sarah Jane from the Sports Illustrated photoshoot to his Instagram stories, with the caption “Count your blessings” as well as a photo of the two of them holding MJ and the sonogram for their new daughter, with the caption “Family of 4″.
