The Dallas Cowboys will be without Prescott for the rest of the game against the Falcons after the 31-year-old sustained hamstring and hand injuries.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott left the game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night due to injury, sparking concern about his fitness going forward.
The 31-year-old was performing well in the first half before picking up a hamstring injury late in the third quarter. He was replaced by back-up QB Cooper Rush.
The hamstring injury is thought to have been what has forced Prescott from the game but he was also seen receiving treatment to a hand issue. The Cowboys were 27-13 down when Prescott was replaced by Rush. The first-choice QB made just 18 of 24 passes on Sunday.
Is the Dak Prescott injury serious?
The Cowboys QB entered the season with expectations high, having really signed an NFL-record $60 million-per-season deal in Dallas. However he’s yet to find his rhythm in 2024 and he was under pressure again on Sunday, taking three sacks before leaving the field.
Prescott sustained a hand injury on a sack from kaden Elliss with 1:27 left in the third quarter. He remained in the game for two more throws but seemed to be struggling with a hamstring injury, stunting his movement in the pocket.
He was taken to the medical tent for some hurried treatment but, with his hand appearing swollen, he was unable to continue.
