Dak Prescott’s reaction to birthday gifts from the Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback celebrates his 31st birthday today, and while a contract extension would be nice, these gifts aren’t too bad either.
The Cowboys had the day off from practice today, just in time for quarterback Dak Prescott to celebrate his 31st birthday. While Prescott probably would have appreciated a contract extension from the Cowboys, that’s likely to be a belated gift. Instead, he was showered with several gifts from the social media team, who posted his reactions on X with the clever caption, “hbd Dak, here you gooo”.
What did Dak Prescott get for his birthday from the Cowboys?
In addition to socks with his face on them, Prescott received a coupon book with passes that benefit the social media team more than him, a photo of him and Ezekiel Elliott in the Step Brothers pose, and various Cowboys items he plans to decorate the locker room and office with.
Despite being in the final year of his contract, the Cowboys have been putting off giving Prescott an extension for as long as possible it seems. 2023 was one of Prescott’s best seasons yet, with 4,516 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, his third Pro Bowl nod, and second-team All-Pro honors.
The 31-year-old will be looking to build on that this season, proving why he deserves that extension.
