SUPER BOWL LVIII
Deebo Samuel goes down with a hamstring injury
The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel goes down in Super Bowl LVIII with what appears to be a hamstring injury.
The San Francisco 49ers came into Super Bowl LVIII in fairly good health but are suffering injuries as the game goes on.
After losing Dre Greenlaw on defense in the second quarter with an achilles injury, they now look to have lost Deebo Samuel from their offense in the third.
Running an out route, Samuel pulled up with no contact made with what looked to be a hamstring injury. After medics came onto the field to take a look at him, Samuel was then brought into the tent on the sideline.
They then confirmed that he has pulled his left hamstring and is currently listed as questionable. They are working with him on the sidelines and it is as yet unclear whether he will return to the game or not.
The loss of Samuel would be a body blow to this 49ers offense and in a tight game against the Kansas City Chiefs, that could turn out to be the small chink in the armor that Patrick Mahomes needs to stage a comeback.
Nervous times in San Francisco.
