Detroit Lions’ complete 53-man roster for the 2025 season
The Detroit Lions have gone from a laughingstock to a Super Bowl contender in over the span of a couple years thanks to head coach Dan Campbell.

These aren’t your dad’s Detroit Lions. A storm has been brewing in the Motor City and over the last few years the Lions have given people reason to believe that this team can bring the city it’s first Super Bowl title.
From worst to first in three years
Head coach Dan Campbell took over in Detroit in 2021 and since then, this team has been getting better and better every year. In his first year the Lions were 3-13, the next year they were over .500, then they made the playoffs and made the NFC Championship. Last year they earned the one seed in the NFC but were stunned in the Divisional Round.
The Lions were widely considered one of the best teams in the league form the start of the regular season until the final snap of Week 18. They did so despite a long list of injuries that decimated their defense. So what were they forced to do? Outscore everyone. That worked until the playoff came rolling around.

This year things are a little different. They have their heart and soul of the defense, Aidan Hutchinson back and better than ever. Jahmyr Gibbs is taking the leading role in the back field and Jared Goff is still one of the best QBs in the league.
There are some changes, both on the field and on the sidelines. Most notably, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn have left Detroit to be head coaches in Chicago and New York.
Here is the Lions final 53 man roster.
