The Philadelphia Eagles notched their ninth straight win to beat the Carolina Panthers 22-16 and improve to 11-2. They needed more than just a win to clinch their spot in the playoffs but the victory got them one step closer. And outside help sealed the deal.

Eagles clinch fourth straight playoff berth

After the Eagles beat the Panthers, they were relying on a few more teams to decide their fate. They needed a loss from the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and they got it.

The Eagles are officially heading to the postseason for the fourth year in a row. Each of those seasons was under the helm of head coach Nick Sirianni, the only Eagles coach to lead Philly to that many consecutive playoff berths since Andy Reid from 2000-2004.
