In a rematch of this year’s Super Bowl, the Eagles and Chiefs will square off at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Needless to say, there will be a lot at stake when two of the league’s best teams meet on ‘Monday Night Football.’

Eagles - Chiefs: The lay of the land

While the Eagles (8-1) have a number of players on the injury report - six to be precise - it’s got to be said that the one name that draws attention is that of defensive end Derek Barnett, who was downgraded to ‘out’ on Sunday due to personal reasons. The former first-round pick has played in eight of the team’s first nine games this season and in that time registered three tackles and one pressure across a total of 99 snaps. Barnett’s absence will be felt, but it’s worth noting that he was listed as inactive for the win against the Cowboys in Week 9, the last game the Chiefs played before their bye week.

As for the Chiefs (7-2), they come into this one with four players listed on the injury report, however, the majority may yet be activated before the game, which is to say Mahomes and Co. are relatively healthy ahead of this important game. They will also have reason to be confident, as they have won four of the past five games against the Eagles. Across those matchups, the reigning Super Bowl champions have managed to score 147 points, while the Eagles have managed 135.
