Erin Andrews delivers bold message to NFL fans about Eagles - Chiefs Super Bowl matchup

Super Bowl LIX promises to be something extra special. First of all because the Kansas City Chiefs will be aiming to make history by becoming the first team in history to achieve a three-peat.

Attempting to stop them will be the team with the third best record during the regular season. Only three teams have managed to beat the Philadelphia Eagles since the season started - the Commanders, the Bucs and the Falcons - and all of those matchups were close.

History could be made at Super Bowl LIX

Fox’s lead sideline reporter Erin Andrews will be covering the game alongside Tom Brady, and says that it’s a sporting event that cannot be missed - even if you aren’t a football fan. She explains what will make this Super Bowl special.

“I worked the last Eagles-Kansas City Super Bowl and what I remember, it came down to a great fourth quarter, a great last couple of minutes. You had a quarterback in Patrick Mahomes that, at halftime I was trying to find to what was going on with his leg, and you had Jalen Hurts who had one of the biggest games, so that was a great matchup.

“I have covered the Eagles all year and I got to see how they turned it around after the bye week and Vic Fangio‘s top-rated defense and then you’ve got Saquon Barkley, which I think is one of the best stories in the NFL, got to a sit-down interview with him this week and he said that this is like a movie, it doesn’t seem real.

“So people that don’t want to see that, I can’t help you out there and I can’t help you out if you don’t want to watch history. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are going for a three-peat - which I just think is so cool and I’m so honored to be able to call that.

“I have a teammate in Tom Brady in the booth that I think is going to be so awesome to listen to the GOAT call a Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes playing in it...

“I don’t get caught up in what other people think. That’s their business. But if you don’t want to watch the best of the best, I don’t know what you want to watch!

“It’s not my problem, I’ve enjoyed every single minute since yesterday preparing for this. I was highlighting stuff, sending it to my teammates, saying, ‘Oh my God, this is awesome, this is amazing’ The Chiefs' defense has been a huge story this year - now going up against Saquon and Jalen Hurts, like, how can you not be pumped for this?”
