Fantasy Football team of the week: NFL 2023 Week 12
The quarterbacks were having their weekend, with three players from this position in the top four on the Fantasy Football players’ scoring list.
Last weekend, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Dak Prescott were the standout performers on the football fields across the United States. Only Kyren Williams, the running back for the Los Angeles Chargers, managed to break up the dominance of the quarterbacks. He had a phenomenal game in the team’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals, scoring a remarkable number of points.
Josh Allen
Josh Allen completed 29 out of 51 passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He also rushed for 81 yards and scored two touchdowns on nine carries in Sunday’s game against the Eagles, which unfortunately ended in a 37-34 overtime loss for the Bills.
Despite Allen’s impressive performance, two missed field goals by Tyler Bass proved costly in the end. Allen set a season-high record of 81 rushing yards and recorded his fourth 300-yard passing performance of the year. He also extended his streak of games, producing multiple touchdowns to 11.
Currently, Buffalo is three losses behind Miami in the AFC East and is on the outside looking in for a wild-card spot. However, Allen is on pace for career highs in passing yards and rushing touchdowns. He has already tied his best in the latter category with nine through 12 games.
Allen has faced a 30.1% QBP rate this season, the 5th lowest in the NFL. He has a 2.84s time to pressure, ranking fifth in the league. Additionally, Allen has thrown for 403 yards on scrambles this season, 82 more than any other QB, and has scored five touchdowns, ranking first. Finally, Allen has generated the most passing EPA in the redzone (+14.9) of any QB this season. He has thrown 15 touchdowns and has an impressive record in the redzone.
Kyren Williams
Williams stood out in the Rams’ resounding 37-14 victory against the Cardinals on Sunday. He rushed 16 times for a whopping 143 yards and caught all six targets for 61 yards, scoring two touchdowns. It was an impressive return for the second-year player, who had been out due to injury for four games. Williams looked better than ever and notched his career-high total for rushing yards.
He also had two scoring receptions of 15 and 3 yards. His six catches were the most by any Ram on the day, and he tied his season high. Williams was in top form and showed no signs of injury as he made multiple explosive runs, including a game-high 56-yarder. Next up for him is a Week 13 home matchup against the Browns, whose run defense has been inconsistent.
