Fantasy Football team of the week: NFL 2023 Week 8
This week, two wide receivers stood out with their prolific FF score performance: CeeDee Lamb from the Cowboys and DeAndre Hopkins from the Titans.
The top three scorers in week 8 of NFL Fantasy Football were all wide receivers for the first time this season. CeeDee Lamb scored 41 FF points, DeAndre Hopkins scored 34.80, and A.J. Brown of the Eagles scored 33 in their respective games.
CeeDee Lamb
In Sunday’s 43-20 victory over the Rams, Lamb had a great game with 12 catches on 14 targets, covering 158 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Compared to his fellow Cowboys teammates, he received the most targets with 14, while no other player had more than four targets.
He made the most of these opportunities by exploiting the Rams’ secondary and scoring two touchdowns from 22 and 10 yards away. Lamb made four catches of more than 20 yards, his third time surpassing 100 yards this season and his second consecutive game.
DeAndre Hopkins
DeAndre Hopkins had a vintage performance on Sunday’s game against the Falcons. He caught four out of six passes, amounting to 128 yards and three touchdowns.
Upon analysis, Hopkins was one of the most efficient players on the field. He shared the team lead in targets with six, and he made the most out of his opportunities. Three of his four receptions resulted in touchdowns, with impressive long scores of 61 and 47 yards.
This is Hopkins’ second 100-yard game of the season, which happened within the last three games. Levis’s leadership helped the Titans achieve their most explosive offensive performance of the season. With Levis as the team’s quarterback, Hopkins could continue to benefit from his skills.
