Fantasy Football team of the week: NFL 2023 Week 9
Surprisingly, two Houston Texans players, the quarterback C.J. Stroud and the wide receiver Tank Dell, topped the Fantasy Football players’ scoring list.
In a surprising turn of events, two players from the Houston Texans team, namely quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Tank Dell, have emerged as the top scorers on the Fantasy Football players’ scoring list. Despite the tough competition, C.J. Stroud and Tank Dell have outperformed their peers with their remarkable skills on the field. Their exceptional performance has earned them the respect and admiration of fans and critics alike in the world of fantasy football.
C.J. Stroud
Houston Texans quarterback Stroud had an impressive performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. He completed 30 out of 42 passes for 470 yards and scored five touchdowns. He also ran for a 10-yard two-point conversion. However, he did commit a fumble during the game, which, fortunately, Houston could recover.
Stroud’s performance was historic, as he broke the NFL rookie single-game record for passing yards. He accomplished this feat during the Texans’ final drive, which was an unlikely six-play, 75-yard game-winning drive in the last 45 seconds of the match. Stroud’s game-winning touchdown pass to Tank Dell with only six seconds remaining on the clock was preceded by a perfect 26-yard sideline throw to the rookie wideout. The Buccaneers’ pass defense was unable to stop Stroud throughout the game, as he threw scoring passes to Nico Collins (14 yards), Noah Brown (75 yards), Dell (29 yards), and Dalton Schultz (nine yards).
Stroud’s fantastic performance on Sunday was his fifth multi-touchdown game of the season and is positioning him as a frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award. He will now focus on the Texans’ upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10.
Tank Dell
Dell had a great game against the Buccaneers on Sunday, securing six of his 11 targets for 114 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed twice for two yards. The rookie wide receiver made several big plays throughout the game, including a 29-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter and a clutch 26-yard sideline grab on the game-winning drive. His game-winning 15-yard touchdown reception with just six seconds remaining sealed the Texans’ 39-37 victory. This was the second 100-yard game of Dell’s young career and his first multi-touchdown performance. Dell will aim to continue his impressive form in a Week 10 game on the road against the Bengals.
