Final NFL playoff picture and full postseason schedule
The NFL playoff picture is settled after the Detroit Lions win over the Minnesota Vikings to earn the NFC’s one seed, home field and a first round BYE.
As the 2024 NFL regular season has come to a close and now it’s time to look at the playoff picture and the match ups of next week’s Wild Card Round. The Detroit Lions wrapped up the one seed in the NFC on the final game of the regular season and they will get a BYE and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
As of now, here is what the playoff picture looks like.

Wild Card Round
AFC:
As the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs will have a bye week and will not play in the Wild Card Round.
The No. 2 Buffalo Bills will host either the No. 7 Denver Broncos after the Broncos crushed the Kansas City Chiefs who rested their starters
The No. 3 Baltimore Ravens will host the No. 6 Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC North showdown from M&T Bank Stadium
The No. 4 Houston Texans will host either the No. 5 Los Angeles Chargers after Jim Harbaugh’s team wrapped up the five seed with a win over the Raiders.
NFC:
The No. 1 Detroit Lions will have a bye week, after their win over the Vikings on Sunday night.
The No. 2 Philadelphia Eagles will host the No. 7 Green Bay Packers.
The No. 3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the No. 6 Washington Commanders.
The No. 4 Los Angeles Rams will host the No. 5 Minnesota Vikings.

The No. 1 seeds (Chiefs in AFC and either Lions or Vikings in NFC) will host the lowest remaining seed. The second-highest remaining seed will host the second-lowest remaining seed.

The Divisional Round winners will play each other and the higher seed will be the host.

Super Bowl
The Conference Championship winners will play each other at a neutral site. This year’s Super Bowl will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. It will be played on Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m.
