Update:

The injury bug isn’t letting up in Oxnard. The Dallas Cowboys have lost yet another player during training camp, this time rookie cornerback Caelen Carson, who is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a knee injury.

What injury does Carson have?

The team announced that Carson sustained a hyperextended knee during Monday’s practice session. His absence adds to a growing list of injuries that already includes starting left tackle Tyler Guyton, who fractured his knee on the same day.

The offensive line also took a hit when lineman Rob Jones broke a bone in his neck during the very first practice. He’s projected to be sidelined for two to three months.

Carson joins Cowboys CBs in the sick bay

Carson, who was limited by injuries last season and appeared in just six games, was hoping to make a strong impression this summer.

His setback is especially concerning given that both Trevon Diggs and Josh Butler are currently on the Cowboys’ injured list as well.
