Free agent Russell Wilson reveals 2026 plans: “I’m not blinking”
Now 37 years old, the veteran quarterback is entering free agency this offseason and has announce a change of agents.

After 14 years in the NFL, ten-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson has made a change.
Wilson is entering free agency ahead of the 2026 season and he will now be represented by Athletes First super-agent David Mulugheta. The 37-year-old QB splits from longtime agent Mark Rodgers, who has represented him since being drafted in 2012.
Wilson has reiterated that he wants to play again in 2026, despite making a career-low three starts for the New York Giants this year. Mulugheta counts a number of high-profile quarterbacks as clients, including C.J. Stroud, Justin Fields, Deshaun Watson, and will be entrusted to find Wilson a landing spot.
Russell Wilson said Monday he fully intends to play next season. Also switched recently to super-agent David Mulugheta of Athletes First, according to NFLPA records.

Wilson earlier in week: “Yeah, I’m not blinking. I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas."
Is Russell Wilson playing in 2026?
In 2025 Wilson had a small, but not insubstantial role, in a disappointing season for the New York Giants. Last March he signed a one-year, $10.5 million deal with the Giants and was named starting quarterback but he quickly lost his place to rookie QB Jaxson Dart.
Wilson made just three starts, the last of which ending with home fans at the MetLife Stadium chanting: ‘We Want Dart’. The first-year star was duly installed for Week 4 and Wilson did not start another game, slipping below fellow veteran Jameis Winston in the QB standings.
Nevertheless, Wilson is confident of securing another year in the NFL and believes he is still capable of making an impression.
“Yeah, I’m not blinking,” Wilson told reporters, when asked about his 2026 plans. “I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas. I want to do that again and just be ready to rock and roll and be as healthy as possible and be able to play ball.”
“My love for the game and what I know I’m capable of when I’m healthy and can move the way I know I can move and do all that stuff, I know what I’m capable of. I’m just excited. Focusing on the next several weeks. I have my game plan together, know what I’m going to do to get ready and mentally train, physically train and all those things. I got great confidence.”
