From pizza shop worker to signing with the Patriots: Who is Sebastian Gutierrez?
The New England Patriots’ newest member has quite the variety of jobs on his resume after going from working at a pizza shop to becoming a pro in the NFL.
Sebastian Gutierrez is a 24-year-old who was working at a pizza shop in North Dakota. He was an offensive tackle at Minot State and became an undrafted free agent in the NFL. While he remained unsigned, he had to make a living, of course, and so the 6′6″, 195-pound young man was making pizzas at a restaurant called Uncle Maddio’s Pizza.
Gutierrez continued to train while he worked part time at Uncle Maddio’s and now, he’s been signed to the New England Patriots’ practice squad. In May, Gutierrez attended the Denver Broncos’ training camp, but didn’t make the final 53-man roster.

The Patriots also recently signed quarterback Garrett Gilbert. They are looking to re-vamp their offense as they sit at 1-3 and in fourth place in the AFC East.
