GAME TIME
The Giants have won the toss and elected to defer so the Cowboys will start us off on offense.
Let's go!
Can Pollard get back on track vs Giants?
The Cowboys RB1 Tony Pollard has only rushed for over 100 yards once this season, but he may get the opportunity to do so again against the Giants today. The Giants have given up at least 120 yards in seven of their nine games this season.
The Cowboys have been struggling in the run game this season, but considering how poor the Giants play against the run, today is the today to turn that around. And with DeVito in at QB, their chances are even higher.
When you're playing Dallas, when you're playing the Eagles, when you're playing the Commanders, it's going to be chippy, feisty games, and very competitive games."
Could the Giants pull off a comeback?
It's unlikely, but not impossible. Since 1970, there have been 10 instances in which an NFL team has won a second meeting with a team that they previously lost to by 40+ points.
The Giants will have the chance to join that rare statistic against the Cowboys.
Matchup to watch: Parsons vs Thomas
Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas made his return last week against the Raiders after missing seven games with a strained hamstring. Now, he's gotten back into the swing of things again but will have the challenge of taking on Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, who has 7.5 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, and 17 quarterback hits on the season.

Giants and Cowboys seasons so far
The last meeting between these NFC East rivals ended in a 40-0 blowout loss for the Giants on their opening night, and that was with Daniel Jones in at quarterback. Today, the Giants are starting with undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito now that Jones is out for the season after tearing his ACL, and backup Tyrod Taylor is on IR and also possibly out for the season.
The Giants' abyssmal offense
The Giants offense is ranked last in points per game and second to last in passing yards per game, and they haven't scored a single offensive touchdown in three straight games. Up against a Dallas defense that has allowed the third-fewest yards per game and sixth-fewest points per game, that does not stack up well.
Dak's streak
The Cowboys are now at 5-3 after losses to the Cardinals, Niners, and Eagles. The defense has had a few off games but otherwise has been saving Dallas in many situations and the offense is the third-highest scoring team in the NFL with 27.5 points per game. Dak Prescott is leading the offense and has thrown over 300 yards in the last two consecutive games with a 7-1 touchdown ratio. Although Prescott actually had no passing TDs against the Giants in their first game this season (and the fewest passing yards), he is 11-0 in his starts against them since 2016.
All that said, it should be quite obvious that the Cowboys are heavy favorites to take another W against their rivals.
