Green Bay Packers - Denver Broncos summary, stats, scores and highlights | NFL Preseason
Tyler Badie is looking to make the 53-man roster in Denver, and scoring TDs in back to back weeks is only going to help his case. He only had two touches but he took one of them to the house for the final score of the game off this Zach Wilson pass. The former Jets QB ended his night 2/6 for 29 yards and this TD.
The Packers will head to Lambeau for their final game of the preseason against the Baltimore Ravens while the Broncos play the Arizona Cardinals in Denver.

The Broncos have up 30 points to the Colts in their first preseason game, but made sure that wasn’t going to happen against Green Bay. Nothing went right for Green Bay who turned the ball over on downs three times, got intercepted twice, fumbled the ball, missed a field goal and punted the ball four times. Their only points came on a safety late in the 3rd quarter.

Jarrett Stidham came in during the second quarter, and was able to bully his way into the endzone after the interception from Smith. The former Raider will still be eyeing the QB1 job, but after Nix played so well he might be thinking about securing his place on the roster as a back up. He went 7/11 for 65 yards and his only rush came on this 9 yard TD.

After getting into a shootout with the Colts last week, it was the Denver defense that needed to step up this week. If we are being fair, Jordan Love, nor and of the Packers starters played in this game, but they still pitched a shutout against Green Bay. Sean Clifford got the start in place of Love and went 6/10 for 43 yards and this INT and run back by Keidron Smith that set up the final TD of the half.

The Denver Broncos won their second tune up game with a dominant performance on both ends of the ball. Fans in the Mile High City got their first look at who many think is the QB of the future, and Bo Nix did not disappoint.
Nix drove the Broncos down the field and into the endzone on both drives, but the TD pass on the opening possession was called back for stepping over the line of scrimmage. They settled for a field goal to begin the game, but Nix got them in the endzone on the next drive with this two yard TD pass to Tim Patrick.
The former Oregon gun slinger ended his shift 8/9 for 80 yards and a TD. He came into the night with a chance at the starting job, and did nothing but solidify his position for Week 1 tonight.

WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM MILE HIGH!!!
The Packers get the ball to start the game, and it's Sean Clifford taking over under center in place of Love from the 30 after the touchback.
Last year: Packers
Just because Jordan Love is the most popular man in Green Bay going into this season didn’t mean he didn’t meet some bumps in the road. He debuted with a 38-20 win over the Chicago Bears, but the Packers lost five of their next six games to drop to 2-5. Love started to turn it on after that, leading his team to victory in 7 of the next 10 games. They went into Week 18 needing a win against a division rival at Lambeau and Love delivered a classic performance just as it seemed he was hitting his rookie stride. The Pack went to Dallas who ended the season on a slide, and crushed them 48-32 and at one time led 34-19 in the 3rd quarter. Then the Packers went to San Francisco and almost beat the eventual NFC Champs. There is a lot of hope coming into this season, and for good reason. Can Love lead Green Bay back to a Lombardi Trophy? Or will we see a sophomore slump for the guy the Packers choose over Aaron Rodgers.

Last year: Broncos
The Sean Payton era got off to a bumpy start in Denver last season. He was brought to the Mile High City to try to make things work with Russell Wilson after a disastrous debut season in Denver. They dropped their first three games, including a 70-20 loss to Miami, and go on to lose five of their first six. Things started to turn around for Denver after that. They won five straight games as their defense started lock down and the offense would do just enough to earn the victory, although they never really impressed. Just when Denver looked like they might have a chance to make the playoffs, they dropped three of their next four. At 7-8 the Broncos weren’t out of the race for the Wild Card, but Wilson got benched for a contractual situation that ended up saving a lot of money for Denver. That was basically the end of Russell Wilson in Denver, and Jarrett Stidham came in to play the final two games, one of which he won against the Chargers, but that wasn’t enough to push the Broncos to the playoffs.

No Love tonight for Packers fans
Jordan Love might have had a spectacular TD pass to Wicks last week, but the truth is he only played three snaps. Truth be told, in this game I think the Packers will be more focused on seeing who is going to take the second string spot. Love threw for 4,159 yards, threw 32 TDs and just 11 picks last season in what was really his rookie season in Green Bay. Unfortunately for those tuning in to see the young QB play a few snaps, Love won’t be playing tonight as Matt LeFluer is going to keep his Week 1 starter on the bench tonight after a mid week dust up between team may have just aggravated his shoulder.
Star watch: Broncos
The 24 year-old rookie was taken 12th in the NFL Draft this past spring after being named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. He finished third in the Heisman Trophy race after passing for 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He may not have expected to be taken as high as he was despite his impressive numbers he put up during his final year, but Sean Payton saw something that he liked, and now Nix is set to be the man in the Mile High City. He is going to get the majority of the snaps with the starters tonight and can take a big step towards the starting job come Week 1.

Last game: Broncos
It was a wild and explosive game in Indy to start the preseason for the Broncos and the Colts. There were 64 total points scored between both teams, but Jarrett Stidham started the first two drives off a little slow, punting on the first drive and throwing a pick on the second. Rookie QB Bo Nix came in and built two scoring drives, the first a field goal and then a one yard touchdown pass after a 10 play drive to put the Broncos up 10-3 in the first half. Nix came out of the halftime break and led another TD drive, this one finished off by a Audric Estime TD to end quite a debut for the rookie QB. The defense gave up 30 points, but Denver held off the Colts.

Last game: Packers
The Packers opened up their preseason slate in Cleveland, taking on the Browns and Jordan Love picked up right where he left off last season. He hit Dontayvion Wicks on a 65 yard dime for a TD less than a minute and a half into the game. That was the only action Love saw, as his short shift was met with heavy praise and excitement from the Cheeseheads back in Lambeau. Sean Clifford took over after that and had a decent game going 10/19 for 111 yards but it was Emmanuel Wilson’s TD that put the Packers up 17-3 at the half. The Green Bay D held strong against the Browns back ups and rolled to a 23-10 win.

We are live from Mile High
Hello everyone and welcome to Denver where the Broncos are in front of their fans for the first time this season, and they will get their first look at rookie quarterback Bo Nix. The Broncos are trying to put a miserable season and a failed gamble on Russell Wilson in the rearview, and that process starts now. They won their first preseason game in a shootout from Indianapolis, and will look to build on that performance tonight. The Packers have a bit more of a foundation after seeing this team, and their second year QB surprise everyone last season. Jordan Love finally got his chance to shine after apprenticing for Aaron Rodgers, and took this team to the second round of the playoffs and almost knocked off the San Francisco 49ers last year. This year it’s time to build on that surprising season, and it starts in the preseason.

Packers vs. Broncos live
We wrap up Week 3 of the preseason with a Mile High match up between two teams who are used to being front runners in their respective conferences. Both teams are hoping to return to that position sooner rather than later, but first they have to get through their preseason as each team has things to sort out before kicking off the regular season. It’s the Denver Broncos hosting the Green Bay Packers from Empower Field and AS English will be with you all night providing live coverage, stats, highlights and analysis of tonight’s game.
