“Holy s***!” Jason Kelce goes bobsledding for the first time and his reaction says it all
Jason Kelce went from suffering under a pile of football players in the Eagles’ tush push to sliding full speed down an ice chute, directed by Team USA.

Former NFL star Jason Kelce has never been one to shy away from a challenge, and his latest adventure showed that’s not changing any time soon.
Ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, the longtime Philadelphia Eagles center went bobsledding for the first time ever, documenting the experience in a now-trending teaser video posted to his YouTube channel.
The clip shows Kelce at a Team USA bobsled training facility in Salt Lake City, climbing into a sled, strapping into a helmet, and preparing to launch down an icy track, a far cry from the trenches of the NFL.
“How confident?” Kelce asks with a laugh in the video. “I feel negative confident right now.”
Got the chance to experience Bobsledding for the first time this past winter. Went up to Salt Lake City to Team USA Bobsled headquarters, and got hands on to see if I have what it takes to sled the bobs. From Super Bowls to sliding at 80 MPH
Kelce, a seven-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl LII champion, officially retired from the NFL following the 2023 season. Since then, he’s stayed in the spotlight, transitioning into a media career as an analyst with ESPN and continuing his “New Heights” podcast with brother Travis Kelce, while also growing his presence on YouTube.
The full video has now been released, and it didn’t disappoint. In it, Kelce is first shown being fitted into a bobsled at a Team USA training facility, then suiting up in official gear as he prepares to make his first run down the icy track. What follows is a blend of excitement, disbelief and genuine surprise at just how wild the experience feels.
As the sled picks up speed and carves its way through the course, Kelce can be heard shouting, “Hoooooly s**,”* his voice a mix of exhilaration and shock, a raw and hilarious reaction that’s now circulating widely online.
Now that the Olympic bobsleigh competition is underway in Italy, with events including the women’s monobob already completed today, Kelce’s video arrives at the perfect moment to tap into the energy around the Games.
Once tasked with snapping footballs and battling 300-pound defenders, the transition to sliding feet-first down an ice chute at high speed was a completely new frontier. But after all the screaming, Kelce made it out, saying afterward, “that was intense.”

jasons and travs sticker faces ( on the helmet) had me 😂😂😂, i can hear travs voice going “LFG, weeeeeeeeee” pic.twitter.com/wospf87f0n
“I have no idea how you f***ing do it,” Kelce said. “First couple turns, I’m like ‘oh, this is kinda fun’, and then it’s like holy s***!”
The team even surprised him by putting stickers of his and Travis’ face on the helmet, which he said he didn’t even notice until it was over.
Kelce isn’t the only one in the family getting involved with the Games. His wife, Kylie Kelce, is also part of the Olympic buzz, joining NBC as an influencer-creator during the Winter Games. The pairing makes the Kelces one of the most visible non-athlete families attached to this Olympic cycle.
Between Jason’s on-ice adventure and Kylie’s behind-the-scenes coverage, the Kelce name continues to dominate sports culture even off the football field. No, Jason Kelce isn’t trying to make the Olympic team. But that hasn’t stopped fans from embracing the crossover moment.
The combination of self-deprecating humor, genuine nerves, and Olympic-level speed has connected with people online, with fans praising Kelce for stepping outside his comfort zone and reminding everyone just how fearless elite athletes tend to be, even after retirement.
