The Houston organization has been jam-packed during the offseason. They’ve signed some experienced and proven players, such as Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs.

Management’s decision to give young receiver Nick Collins a new contract after bringing in Stefon Diggs is quite interesting not only because of the act itself but also because of its value. The new contract is for three years and is worth 72.5 million dollars, with 52 million guaranteed.

How does he compare to his peers?

Collins emerged as the highest-paid receiver on his team and the seventh-highest-paid receiver in the entire league. Despite being in the NFL since 2021, it was his standout year, during which he recorded 1,297 yards with eight touchdown catches.

This remarkable performance was a significant leap from his previous two seasons, where he totaled 927 yards and three touchdowns combined. It’s evident that his exceptional last season earned him the contract of his dreams.
