NFL:

The 2023 NFL season commences with training camp, which is the most critical off-season event for teams and indicates the imminent start of the season. During this period, the coaching staff assesses and evaluates players, observing them as they compete against each other. By the end of the training camp, team management will clearly understand which players will be included in the active roster for the upcoming season.

What is the duration of the NFL Training Camp?

NFL training camps usually last for approximately two weeks and conclude before the start of the preseason in August. These camps must follow specific regulations defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the NFL and its players. For instance, during the initial three days of camp, no contact is allowed, and players are only allowed to wear helmets and light practice gear for the following two days.

All players must take a day off on the sixth day, and on the seventh day, they can finally wear pads during the offseason. Veteran players can start training camp 15 days before their first preseason game, while rookies have the option to begin training 22 days before their debut game. With a few months since the end of the 2022/23 NFL season, fans and players are excitedly preparing for the upcoming season.
