NFL Draft 2024 live online: First-round picks, teams, players and big board updates
In just a few hours, the Chicago Bears will be on the clock with the first pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
This year there will be 257 total picks placed over three days, from the top overall to Mr Irrelevant and quarterbacks are the theme of the year. It seems certain that the Bears will take Caleb Williams number one, but will the Commanders stick with Jayden Daniels at two, or have they gone cold on him?
Drake Maye, Bo Nix, Michael Penix, and JJ McCarthy have all been making noise and any one could sneak into that spot, potentially upending the entire first round.
Each year has a different number of picks chosen, with the basic math along the lines of seven times for each of the 32 teams, plus 32 compensatory picks to make up for players lost or gained through free agency. This comes out at 256 picks, but the league will sometimes award 33 compensatory picks, something that they have done this season for a grand total of 257 drafted players.
Round 1 kicks off on Thursday at 8pm ET and Rounds 2 and 3 will take place on Friday from 7pm ET. The remaining Rounds 4 through 7 will take place on Saturday from noon ET.
