For the fourth time in NFL history, the Super Bowl will be played in the state of Arizona.
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will play Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. History will be made in the Grand Canyon state on 12 February as it will be the first time that two African-American quarterbacks face each other as starters.

Super Bowl XXX
The first Super Bowl played in the state of Arizona was the XXX edition between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys in January 1996. The setting was the Sun Devil Stadium in the city of Tempe. The Cowboys of Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin defeated a Steelers side featuring Neil O’Donnell and Dermonti Dawson 27-17. Smith finished with 150 rushing yards and three touchdowns while Aikman threw one touchdown pass.
The turnovers sentenced the game in favor of Dallas. O'Donnell threw three interceptions, Larry Brown (2) and Brock Marion (1), and was sacked four times, by Chad Hennings (2), Charles Haley (1) and Tony Tolbert (1).

The New England Patriots hopes of crowning a perfect season were dashed by the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. The Pats lost 17-14 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, a game that is primarily remembered for David Tyree’s catch with just over a minute to go.
Eli Manning was the only quarterback to win two Super Bowls from Tom Brady. The Giants QB connected in the end zone with Plaxico Burres with 35 seconds left in the fourth quarter to beat the Patriots.
Super Bowl XLIX
Seven years later, Brady and the Patriots returned to Glendale for Super Bowl XLIX. The opponent this time was the Seattle Seahawks and the defense was responsible for winning the game 28-24. Malcolm Butler intercepted a Russell Wilson throw at the one-yard line and gave the New England Patriots their fourth championship. TB12 completed 37 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns against the Legion of Boom.
